Fat Cat Foods and Cavallari Gourmet join forces once again, dishing up a selection of three succulent gourmet tacos for store guests on Sat., July 20, 2013 from 12-5p. The Fat Cats themselves will prepare the tacos (recipes below) and Cavallari Gourmet will offer craft beer specials to go along with the food.

On the menu are the following taco fillings, each freshly made by Fat Cat Foods and each featuring one of their award-winning sauces as an ingredient:

The tacos will be $3 each, or $8 for three. Cavallari Gourmet will also provide guests with a special deal that includes a pint of craft beer and three tacos for $12. Guests need to buy tickets for the tacos and beer from the Cavallari register before ordering and redeem the tickets for their tacos at the service table.

In addition to preparing the tacos, the Fat Cats will offer its award-winning sauces for sampling, or topping your tacos, and will also be handing out recipe cards (while supplies last) to anyone interested in making these delicious tacos at home.

Attention locavores: Fat Cat Foods and countless other Florida-based food producers, restaurants, food trucks and companies will be spotlighted at Tampa Bay’s 2013 Yelper Party, called the “Yelptucky Derby!” Taking place one week before the actual Kentucky Derby race, the event takes place at the Winthrop Barn Theatre in Riverview on April 26, 2013 fro 7-10p.

This gastronomical bonanza is open to all Tampa Bay-area Yelp contributors (must have Yelp account for entry) and serves not only as a terrific foodie hangout for some of the Tampa’s top Yelp reviewers (aka the Yelp Elite) but also features tastings and demonstrations by several of the area’s best food producers, restaurants and food trucks, including Wimauma Catering, Acropolis, Beef O’ Brady’s, EATS American Grill, Generation Food Truck’s Dub & Jimbo’s, Generation Food Truck’s Enjoi Sweets & Co, Generation Food Truck’s PAO Food Truck, Green Iguana, Hula Bay, Parkesdale Farm Market, Pelagia Trattoria, Pretzel Crisps, The Corner Store, Toffee To Go, 20 Shekels Bread, and, of course, Fat Cat Foods (who will be sampling and selling its sauces for attendees — click here to view our Yelp page).

Hot Krust Panini Kitchen will host Orlando’s next Yelp Elite event on March 13, 2013 from 630-830p, and Fat Cat Foods will be there to help.

For the event, Yelp has invited its “Elite” members for a panini tasting they soon won’t forget. Expect Hot Krust to supply a smorgasbord of offerings to guests, including samplings of their freshly made paninis, as well as other foods. Fat Cat Foods will also be on hand, sampling their award-winning sauces alongside Hot Krust’s baked-not-fried waffle fries.

Our friends at Growing Synergy and A Local Folkus put together a fabulous “Breakfast in the Pasture” event at the picturesque Lake Meadow Naturals farm in Ocoee, FL on the morning of March 2, 2013. Chefs chefs Juan Rendon and Rob Walker of Norman’s cooked up the a fantastic breakfast spread comprised of locally sourced ingredients (complete with Fat Cat sauces on the tables) and guests got to tour the farm and then enjoy a fabulous al fresco meal after the fact. A great celebration of local food.

Fat Cat Foods will have a tasting table set up at the Breakfast in the Pasture event, taking place at Lake Meadow Naturals from 8a-11a on Sat., March 2. The event itself, put together by Central Florida’s Growing Synergy and A Local Folkus, lets guests tour one of Central Florida’s most picturesque farms and also enjoy a breakfast prepared by chefs Juan Rendon and Rob Walker of Norman’s.

Once finished, guests are encouraged to visit the Lake Meadow Naturals store, where they can purchase all of the ingredients used to make their breakfast for that morning. The folks from Fat Cat will be sampling their sauces at the store — just in case they need a little more spice with their breakfast fixin’s.

Join Fat Cat Foods for two unique Valentine’s Day-inspired tasting events at All Spiced Up in Jacksonville, FL. The Fat Cats will be at the store on Feb. 15 from 3-6p and then again on Feb. 16 from 11a-2p.

Fat Cat’s appearance on will be part of All Spiced Up’s monthly “Visiting Chef Series,” and for it the Fat Cats will be sampling their award-winning sauces and also preparing three unique recipes — each of which explores the senses in a unique way (it is Valentine’s Day weekend, after all).

On the menu will be Fat Cat’s Picadillo Party Bites, with its sweet, sour and savory combination of flavors, their new “Cat in Heat” Chicken Dip, with its long, slow burn, and their citrus-based Fat Cat Habanero Margarita. Attention locavores: Fat Cat Foods and other Florida-based vendors will be spotlighted at Tampa Bay’s 2012 Yelper Party – Livin La Vida Local! event, taking place at Datz Restuarant in Tampa on Nov. 11, 2012, from 6-9p.

This invitation-only gastronomical bonanza (which has already reached capacity — sorry) serves not only as a terrific foodie hangout for some of the state’s top Yelp reviewers but also features tastings and demonstrations by six of the state’s best food producers, including as Empire Distillery, Special Hoperations, Transatlantic Wine & Spirits of Florida, Toffee To Go, William Dean Chocolate and, of course, Fat Cat Foods (who will be sampling and pairing its sauces with Datz’s famous breakfast potatoes).

Datz Restaurant, which has hosted Fat Cat tastings in the past, will pull out all the stops by providing guests with plenty of food, drinks and entertainment for guests, including the following:

  • A slew of passed hors d’oeuvres (including BBQ Short Rib Bunny Chow with white cheddar popcorn sauce; mini Kobe meatloaf with zesty tomatoes-brown sugar glaze; open-faced mini Reubens; pulled pork sliders; and hummus shooters)
  • Two “action stations” (including a Chicken n’ Waffle Bar and an array providing a fresh assortment of flatbread pizzas)
